Dr. Sanjeev K. Chaudhry holds a master’s degree in economics from Punjab University and a Ph.D in business administration from Columbia University, United States of America and holds a university record for masters in economics at Punjab University, Chandigarh. He has varied business experience of over 26 years in various leadership roles. Prior to joining SRL, he was the South Asia Head at Du Pont Solae until 2006, a position he held for 11 years. He is also the chairman of CSC Nutrigenomics Pte Limited, Singapore and is also on the board of several companies in India and abroad. Dr. Chaudhry has lived and worked in India, Malaysia, Singapore, UK and USA. The plan for privatization of India’s first state owned enterprise was presented the Planning Commission of India by Dr Chaudhry. From 1985 to 1988, Dr Chaudhry was the head of corporate planning at RJR Nabisco/Britannia and following that President and CEO (1990-95) of NatOleo (a Johor Corp company). NatOleo was set up as a green field project by Dr Chaudhry. He is a visiting faculty to various management institutes and universities around the world. He writes guest columns for magazines and has authored three books on value education and management.
Mr. Sanjeev Vashishta is appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of SRL Diagnostics effective May 1, 2012. He is a management graduate from University Business School, Punjab University Chandigarh and is also a qualified Company Secretary from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, New Delhi.
In his overall professional experience spanning over 22 years, Mr. Vashishta has worked in various capacities in ‘Old Economy’ sectors such as Textiles, Chemicals and also ‘New Economy’ sectors I.T. & Telecom. Apart from handling the Company Secretary, Legal functions, he has had good exposure into raising funds through IPOs, Rights Issue, FCCBs etc and has successfully managed Treasury and Banking functions. He has worked with Fortis Healthcare in the capacity of Director- Growth & Business Planning where he spearheaded the Mergers & Acquisition function and was instrumental in acquiring the Hospitals, giving shape to various Operations and Management tie ups and concluding several Public Private Partnership (PPP) deals. Mr. Vashishta has been exposed to the functioning of various Hospitals in the country and abroad. He has also served on the Boards of several Companies. He has been involved in executing various cross border transactions also.
He is seconded to SRL from Fortis Healthcare Limited, wherein he last held the position of Zonal Director, Rajasthan and was responsible for managing Hospitals and the Heart Care/ satellite centers in the state of Rajasthan.
Mr. Sanjeev is holding various positions including Invitee Member of the Rajasthan State Council of the CII for the year 2011-12. He is also the Convener of the Panel on Services (Healthcare, Telecom, Banking & Retail) of the CII, Rajasthan. He has also been nominated as the Member of the State Council of FICCI. He has been associated with the National HRD Network also and presently he is the Vice President of the National HRD Network, Jaipur Chapter.
Besides his academic qualifications and business acumen, his strength also lies in his humane approach and immediate connect with people. He loves travelling and has a keen interest in music.
Commerce graduate from Bangalore university, rank holder and a gold medallist and an associate member of Institute Of Cost And Works Accountants Of India has more than 30 years of work experience in various fields. He has worked with various reputed groups like Apollo Tyres, Lupin Laboratories And Lloyds Finance in areas like finance, accounts, budgeting, equity broking, investment banking and mergers and acquisitions. He has been associated with Religare group for about 9 years now and of which last two years with SRL . He was instrumental in all large mergers and acquisitions deals of Religare and specialises in identification ,evaluation, negotiations and closing of all such large deals. He was also instrumental in closing of all private equity investment deals in SRL
Currently Dr. B.R. Das is working as the President-Research & Innovation at SRL Limited, Mumbai. He has been associated with us since February 10, 2001. Apart from R&D, he also acts as the Mentor of the Molecular Diagnostics and the Clinical Research Services in our Company. He has varied business experience of over 27 years. He has worked as a Professor in Medical Biotechnology for nearly 25 years and has published more than 90 research papers in peer reviewed International Journals. Several Ph.D. and post-doctoral Scientists have completed their clinical research work under his guidance. His research work has been highly acclaimed in India and abroad for which he has been honored with several prestigious awards such as the Best Young Scientist Award given by Indian National Science Academy (INSA), Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA) Young Scientist Award, MP Young Scientist Award, KI Memorial Award for promotion of Medicine Research in Japan, Samanta Chandrasekar Award from Orissa Bigyan Academy. He has also worked as a visiting scientist in Case Western Reserve University Hospital, Cleveland, USA, and Kyoto Medical School, Kyoto, Japan. Recently, he has been nominated as the International Working Group representative of Association of Molecular Pathology (AMP), USA. He has also been invited by the Association of Indian Pathologist of North America (AIPNA) to work as an Expert member in the Molecular Path Committee. He acts as Scientific Advisory Committee Member and Visiting Professors at several reputed Institutes of India. Besides, he is an Editorial Board Member of World Journal of Experimental Medicine. He is also the current President of the Molecular Pathologists Association of India (MPAI).
Dr. Avinash Phadke, is responsible for overall functioning of pathology services of the Company including standalone laboratories, reference laboratories as well as hospital based laboratories. He holds a bachelor’s degree in medicine (pathology) from Tata Memorial Hospital. He topped the batch and was awarded the certificate of special merit from Mumbai University. He also marked first the D.P.B. examination & was awarded the Dr. Salaskar gold medal for the same. Dr. Phadke regularly addresses & sits on panel lectures in national & international conferences. He has also published articles in pathology journals. Prior to this, Dr. Phadke was the director and chief of pathology services at Piramal Diagnostics. He is also on the board of Price Ali Khan Hospital and is an independent director on Talwalkar Better Value Fitness Ltd. He has won awards from medical bodies like Indian Medical Association and Times of India / Express Group publications. He has been working as a pathologist for more than 30 years.
Dr. Bhavin Jhakaria, is an MD in Radiology from Mumbai University. He was earlier a Director – Technical in Piramal Diagnostics & Consultant Radiologist in Jhankaria Imaging. He has worked in various capacities in Bombay Hospital, P D Hinduja National Hospital and studied at University of California (San Diego), The Mayo Clinic and the Royal Brompton Heart & Lung Institute in London. He runs a non – profit organisation called Radiology education Foundation (REF) for Radiology Education in India & is the editor – in – chief of the Indian Journal of Radiology and Imaging (IJRI).
Dr. Amar Dasgupta, the President-International Operations, Super Religare Laboratories (SRL) and he mentors Hematology within the SRL network of laboratories.
He did his MD from Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh, India and obtained his PhD from Mumbai University. He did his post-doctoral fellowship in Medical Genetics, Hematology and bone marrow transplantation at the University of Washington, Seattle, USA.
Dr. Dasgupta is a reputed Hematologist with a wide spectrum of academic and professional honors, medals, merit scholarships, fellowships and awards including the prestigious John Fogarty Fellowship (National Institutes of Health, USA) and Yamagiwa-Yoshida Fellowship (UICC, Geneva). He was a recipient of University Merit Scholarship at the MBBS level, Talent Search Scheme Fellowship of the Indian Council of Medical Research during MD studies and institute’s silver medal for merit of first order at the MD examination.
Dr. Dasgupta is a Fellow of the International Union against Cancer and of the Indian Society of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine. He has served as a Consultant to the World Health Organization (WHO) in Hematology and bone marrow transplantation. He was the Hon. President of the Cytometry Society (India) till 2011. His areas of interest are Hemoglobinopathies, Anemia of Chronic Disorders, Bleeding Disorders and Thrombophilia, Clinical Flow Cytometry and Hematologic Malignancies.
Dr. Dasgupta has also been a teacher and research guide for MSc and PhD students at the University of Mumbai and guided several students in successful completion of research work. He has more than 100 scientific publications in peer-reviewed international journals.
Dr (Gp Capt) G.S. Sabhikhi, joined the organization as Director Radiodiagnosis and Imaging in October 2009. He has played a pivotal role in the development of Radiodiagnosis and Imaging as a new vertical of SRL Religare from its infancy.
Dr G S Sabhikhi obtained his MBBS from AFMC- Pune University in 1982. He received his MD in Radiology from AFMC- Pune University in 1990 and was awarded the EAC medal for academic excellence.
He joined the Armed Forces -Army Medical Corp in 1982 and was a member of the Army Medical Corps for more than 25 years. He has worked in various capacities in the Armed Forces-initially as a medical officer and subsequently as a Radiologist. He has successfully set up new Radiology departments and headed Radiology Departments of large teaching hospitals. During his career spanning over almost 2 decades he has developed high diagnostic skills and gained invaluable experience in radiology that includes diagnostic conventional imaging, CT, MRI and Interventional Radiology.
He also has more than 20 years of teaching experience-including undergraduate and post graduate teaching. He has been a faculty member at AFMC Pune, Air Force Hospital Bangalore and at Army Hospital Research and Referral New Delhi. He has been Professor of Radiology and has guided post graduate students in their thesis. He has numerous publications in National and International Journals.
He has been a National Squash player and also a paratrooper during his career in the Armed Forces.
Dr. Leena Chatterjee, holds the position of Wellness Director – Wellness Business for our company and has been working with us since July 26, 2001. In her role, she has the dual responsibility of establishing the Medical protocols as well as driving the business for this segment. The Medical profile includes preparing Standard Operating procedures and developing of content for all of SRLs existing as well as potential Corporate and Wellness customers. In her business development role she has the responsibility of tapping newer markets and pushing established clients to further SRLs business in this segment. Dr. Leena has served the country’s defence forces for 5 years as a short term commission officer and thereafter has a rich experience of 16 years in the area of Pathology and Wellness operations. Dr. Leena obtained her MBBS degree from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune and has done her MD in Pathology from R and R hospital, Delhi University.
Mr. Radhakrishna Pillai, is the Chief Information Officer of our Company and working with us since January 19, 1998. He is responsible for all strategic decisions pertaining to IT interventions aimed at process improvements at our Company. Mr. Radhakrishna Pillai has acquired over 20 years of technical and managerial experience solving business problems with information system technology solutions by process improvements and innovations. Mr. Pillai has been recognized and felicitated in various national and international forums for IT professionals. A key thought leader in the CIO fraternity for enterprise technology and also key member in the governing body of CIO KLUB, India. He was also recognized in CIO powerlist by ‘CIO Decision’ in the year 2008. Mr. Radhakrishna Pillai is a Graduate in Statistics from Kerala University with Diploma in computer science, diploma in marketing management from Institute of Management & Personal Studies, Mumbai.
Dr. Maria Borges, is the Chief Quality Officer of our Company and has been associated with us since November 22, 2000. Her core responsibilities include implementation and maintenance of quality systems at all our locations. Under her leadership, SRL has achieved many firsts in the country with regard to achieving quality standards. For instance, the Central Reference Laboratory at Mumbai was the first in the country to be accredited by the NABL and the CAP. She also plays an integral role in our clinical research services with regard to compliance with United States Food and Drug Administration, European and UK standards. Dr. Borges has a graduation and post graduation in Microbiology and was a University First rank holder at the B.Sc (Bachelors of Science) and M.Sc (Masters of Science) examinations of Bombay University. She then completed her Ph.D (Doctorate) in Applied Biology (1994) from the Cancer Research Institute and then worked as a post doctoral fellow. She has also done several courses in Quality Management and is an Empanelled Lead Assessor of the NABL, NABL Accreditation Committee Member and a CAP Auditor.
Mr. Saurabh Chadha, is the Chief Financial Officer since August 7, 2006. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 23 years of experience in finance, accounts, budgeting, MIS, working capital management, internal controls, financial planning, portfolio management, compliances and providing leadership to a team of professionals in finance. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has cleared Level – I of CFA examination from the CFA Institute, USA and also holds a National Stock Exchange Certifications for expertise in the financial markets. He has done B.Sc. (Hons) Chemistry from Delhi University. Mr. Chadha is a key top management functionary who has participated and advised our Company in all strategic initiatives of expansion, growth, funding and financial management. He also has exposure in joint ventures, merger and acquisitions and other financial arrangements. Prior to joining our Company, he was Director - Finance and Investments of Ebrahim Abdul Aal Group of Companies W.L.L. for a period of 12 years. Prior to that he was working with Modi Ollivetti Limited (1991 to 1993) and PriceWaterhouse (1990-1991). During his career, he has been involved in controlling the operations of retail, contracting, service and investment industries as well as analyzing financial statements, market trends and economic scenario.
Mr. Varun Mehta, Director – Human Resources heads the human resources functions of Super Religare Laboratories Limited. He has been associated with SRL since October 2011. He holds Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management from University of Kurukshetra.
Mr. Varun Mehta has over 14 years of rich experience in diverse industries ranging from Hospitality, ITES and financial services. Prior to joining SRL, he was associated with Religare Enterprises Limited as Senior Vice President – HR. Prior to that he worked with Taj Group of Hotels and Convergys India Services P. Ltd. He brings expertise in the areas of Human Resources planning and development, Compensation Management, Performance Management and Career planning.
Mr Ravi Batra, Chief Risk Officer, before Joining SRL, he was Sr. Vice President(Corporate Affairs) & Company Secretary of Religare Enterprises Limited listed at National and Stock Exchanges. He was responsible for Compliances related to Reserve Bank of India, Foreign Exchange Management, Securities and Exchange Board of India, Stock Options, ROC, Secretarial ,Merger /Amalgamations and various capital raising processes like Pre-IPO Placement, Initial Public offer(IPO),Rights Issue, Global Depository Receipts and various compliances related to conducting Board Meetings and Annual general Meetings and compliances of companies incorporated in Mauritius, UK and Australia. He joined Religare in January 2007 and considering the expansion plans of SRL he is moved to SRL to take care of Compliance ,Legal and Secretarial including compliances related to HR and other people related.
Before joining Religare he was head Legal, Compliance and Secretarial of Jaipuria Group diversified into PEPSI,PIZZA HUT, COSTA COFFEE,STEM CELL and having operations into Mauritius, Sri Lanka and Uganda. He is having total 15 years experience.
He received bachelor's degree in commerce from Punjab University, Chandigarh and Member of Institute of Company Secretaries of India and Institute of Chartered Secretaries of UK.
He is member of Corporate Law; Foreign Trade & Trade Facilitation and Healthcare committees constituted by FICCI and have been awarded as most valuable member by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
