Monsoons is the time for colourful umbrellas, sipping on hot chai, going on long drives, relishing the petrichor and marveling at how clean and fresh everything in nature looks. However, monsoons also happen to be the time when we are most susceptible to diseases. The rainy season is most notorious for this very reason – for making a lot of us sick. Our White Blood Cells are not as strong during monsoons due to the constant fluctuations in temperature. This weakens our immunity, thus making our body a very good potential host of various viruses, bacteria, fungi and parasites.
